Floating oil platform footing

The scale of this structure is incredible, as seen by the boat in the foreground and the men on the scaffolding. This is one of the big floating cylinders that will support a massive offshore production and exploration facility in the Gulf of Mexico. The workers will slowly tilt the cylinder into place, and moor it to the sea floor hundreds of feet below with massive chains.
