Roughneck in Brazil

When things are going right on an oil rig, there's not much to do and so you sometimes have to make the shots. This is an assistant driller in an Brazilian offshore facility. I'd liked his face when I met him, and when I later found this patch of very dramatic light I asked that he be brought into the shot. The lighting adds a thoughtful quality to this portrait.
